Interesting photo of ‘Lynx’, really Serval
Good to see these photographs. When exactly did it open and close? One reference says it opened to the public "Easter 1973" but others say it was in 1971 - perhaps it was a private collection then? And it closed either November 2001 or March 2002 .Does any one else recall visiting it or the other collection in Basildon, Aquatels Zoo & Ecology Centre, which seems to have also been open in 1971 but closed in the 1980s?
I remember visiting it once. It was quite small and the enclosures were very cramped - very much a product of its time.
