Visited Whipsnade on a beautiful day today, very quiet and chilled day!

The European Lynx gave birth on Friday (20/5/2011) to 2 cubs/kittens? Only managed to see possibly the male under the stump.

The moose gave birth on Sunday (22/5/2011) picture to add shortly of a very cute baby :D

The boar have also had piglets

The Wolverines have been trying to mate, but not not mature enough as yet but the male was very worn out because of it and the fact he has become very territorial

Other news they have put up a lot of Heritage signs due to their 80th anniversary (which was yesterday) also a very good photo display boards on the lawn to the side of the Discovery Centre. Would be nice to see them in a book for the anniversary.
 
Nice to hear, thanks. :) Interesting to hear about northern lynx; don't seem to hear much about them breeding at the mo.
 
Visiting on the 4th June for the first time, these births should make it even more of an enjoyable day :)
 
Brilliant news about the Lynx i visited on the 28th December last year and she was very ill glad to hear she made a good recovery and had cubs:D
 
Hope you have a fantastic day Javan Rhino and don't become addicted like we have :D Would be great if you can get a photo of the moose calf standing! I am fascinated by moose legs :p and would have loved to see the calf reaching up to feed!

Yes its fantastic news about the Lynx I would love to go on the late night opening on 1/7/2011 Zoo Nights - What's on - ZSL Whipsnade Zoo - ZSL as I assume that will be a great chance to see them by then?? Although apparently the lynx will be a lot more visible once the cubs (or is it kittens??) are out and about
