The Belle Isle Nature Center has reopened. I didn't know it was closed in the first place honestly, but I digress.

Looking at the website, it's a full-on renovation. Those murals really brighten the place up, I never realized how normal and boring of a building it was until now. Herp exhibits especially look great. What's New - Belle Isle Nature Center

The nature center is planning to put coyotes in the former fallow deer habitat. “Coyotes will be introduced to the Belle Isle Nature Center as part of an urban wildlife educational experience” Detroit Zoological Society budget hearing for 2025-2026
