Best Binturong enclosure in the Benelux

This is just a bit of fun to judge the general consensus on the best enclosure for Binturongs in the Benelux. I have added a few photos from the gallery to make it easier for members to compare the different exhibits. If anyone wants to make an argument for a particular enclosure, please feel free to do so. Also, I would encourage people to list the enclosures in order of what they think is the best.

The Okapi and Giraffe threads are closing tomorrow, and they are both in a draw at the moment, so if you want to vote or give an opinion on the exhibits do it soon before they close.

The indoor enclosure you showed for Burgers' is actually only for sun bears. The Binturongs have their separation enclosure in the same building, but it's not visible to the public.

For me it's a toss-up between Pairi Daiza and Burgers' zoo. As these have the most climbing opportunities.

Burgers' is larger in total, but Pairi Diaza has access to live trees...

So important for Binturong welfare is plenty of climbing structures, size and all the obvious, but also shade.
My personal top 3 is De Zonnegloed, then Burgers and third Pairi daiza. I think de Zonnegloed is underrated.

Score update. Burgers are in front once again. I wonder if any enclosures here can come close to it’s enclosure in terms of quality.

Well, the enclosure was designed for Sun bears, so the increased size and climbing opportunities are a given. I'm just surprised Pairi Daiza isn't in second place

Has to be Burgers by miles, great enclosure, rare combination with sun bears (although it doesn’t work too well). Others are often meh:

2. Pairi Daiza: only other good enclosure. Again a rare combination and nice theming.
3. Ziezoo: basic cages, enough space but horendous to photograph
4. Artis: small cage, good enough for 1 animal but very outdated
5. Best: what can I say: not worth to be called an enclosure
6. Taman Indonesia: small, can’t remember much, only reason it’s worse than Best is because my grandpa hurt his hand while touching the electric fence of this one

Haven’t seen the others irl but Zonnegloed looks meh, monde sauvage is decent and Pakawi Park what in the name of god is that, argubly worse than the Best tree and the trauma from Taman Indonesia…

edit: forgot De Paay but it’s what you can expect from them, almost as if they wanted to copy Best

Poll closed. Congratulations to Burgers for having the best Binturong enclosure in the Benelux. A mix with Sun bear and a large enclosure gave it an easy win.
