This is just a bit of fun to judge the general consensus on the best enclosure for Howler Monkeys in the Benelux. I have added a few photos from the gallery to make it easier for members to compare the different exhibits. If anyone wants to make an argument for a particular enclosure, please feel free to do so. Also, I would encourage people to list the enclosures in order of what they think is best.

If there are any outdated photos, collections that no longer hold them or people have photos for exhibits not in the gallery or with poor photos please let me know.

Unfortunately there are no photos of this exhibit in the gallery. If someone can describe the enclosure or provide a photo that would be great.

Apenheul's Red howlers are free-roaming in the Monkey tree path region. I did a quick search through the gallery but had no luck, seems like that's another thing I'll have to upload some photos on...

I'd search through my phone gallery but quite frankly I'm lazy and tired, so here's a 360 degree image from google maps.

I'd say all except Best zoo (shocking) have really good enclosures for the species, but I think Apenheul's Red howler monkey area is the best. They have a huge area in comparison to the other zoos, and the monkeys have access to colossal live trees and multiple good climbing structures, not to mention the raised bridges for visitors not only make sure you can view the animals well, but also second as more climbing structures for the monkeys!

You should probably remove the exhibit at Pairi Daiza from this list. The exhibit shown above no longer exists as it is part of the area being transformed into a Japanese area. The howlers at Pairi Daiza are currently either off-show or no longer kept, although ZTL still lists the species as that hasn't yet been clarified.
