Best Jaguar enclosure in the Benelux

This is just a bit of fun to judge the general consensus on the best enclosure for Jaguars in the Beneleux. I have added a few photos from the gallery to make it easier for members to compare the different exhibits. If anyone wants to make an argument for a particular enclosure, please feel free to do so. Also, I would encourage people to list the enclosures in order of what they think is the best.

The Giant panda and sun bear threads are closing today and tomorrow respectively, so if you want to vote or give an opinion on the exhibits do it soon before they close.

I am from this thread making each poll last for a week instead of 10 days because I thought they were open for too long.


Bouillon

Unfortunately, there are no photos of this enclosure in the gallery. If someone could describe or provide a photo of the enclosure that would be great.

I have not visited Bouillon. I have visited Best Zoo and the enclosure is an old-school cage, so the easy winner here would be Artis Royal Zoo in Amsterdam. That zoo actually has two Jaguar exhibits and they are quite good and have an interesting architectural style as well as naturalism. Here is another photo of mine from 2019:

The only thing about the Artis enclosure is that it isn’t very accessible. There are many parts of the enclosure that have creative viewing areas but they involve irregular steps and climbing which would be impossible for many people with mobility issues.

The enclosure in Bouillon isn't big and can only house 1 animal. It's dark because of the climbing plants growing over it. It isn't well structured with 1 climbing frame and a treetrunk but there isn't much more room anyway. I don't think there is a waterfeature. Don't remember seeing this. I don't have a photo of the enclosure only of the jaguar self, and added this to the gallery.

Score update. Artis currently have all the vote, which is hardly surprising considering it is the best out of a bad lot, with Best and Bouillon being small cages. The lead from Artis could be due to the architectural style of the enclosures and being larger than the other two.

Poll closed. Congratulations to Artis for having the best Jaguar enclosure in the Benelux. It was a one-sided poll, and with Bouillon and BestZoo having substandard enclosures, Artis won with a larger enclosure, interesting architectural design and plenty of foliage. This is the first win for Artis.
