So far, I've only been to the Ueno Zoo once quite in 2015, it was an alright zoo with a great bunch of animals although their large animal habitats were rather small (wouldn't mind going back there to see some stuff like aye-ayes). Would like to hear others' 10 cents on some good Japanese zoos
Did some searching up first:
Tama has so many interesting stuff like moles however time constraints would be an issue
Tennoji has a nice African complex but the other habitats like the wolves, jaguars and other carnivores look horribly dated
Higashiyama might be interesting, wasn't it announced that they were bringing back volcano rabbits?
