This is just a bit of fun to judge the general consensus on the best enclosure for Leopards in the Beneleux. I have added a few photos from the gallery to make it easier for members to compare the different exhibits. If anyone wants to make an argument for a particular enclosure, please feel free to do so. Also, I would encourage people to list the enclosures in order of what they think is the best.

The Giant panda and sun bear threads are closing today and tomorrow respectively, so if you want to vote or give an opinion on the exhibits do it soon before they close.

I am from this thread making each poll last for a week instead of 10 days because I thought they were open for too long.

If you want to vote for other (which is Hoenderdaell (persian) or Best) then please specify who you’re voting for.

Unfortunately there are no photos of this enclosure in the gallery. If someone could describe or provide a photo of the enclosure that would be great.

I'll see if I can upload pictures of the Bellewaerde enclosure. I'm actually not sure I have a good overall picture, I need to have a look.
I think the cub video you mention is mine ^^

I have visited 8 out of the 9 zoos (only missing Bellewaerde Park) and my choice would be Burgers' Zoo. Both Rotterdam and Beekse Bergen have some lushness to their exhibits, but Burgers has both size and climbing opportunities and it gets my vote.

There isn't really a single one that is excellent, but Burgers' is easily the best of the bunch... It is somewhat smaller than Beekse Bergen (650 vs 600 square metres), but significantly larger than Blijdorp (<500 square metres). But more important: it is the only one to offer any meaningful separation enclosures, which is a must for a solitary species, in total they have 2, the largest being 110 square metres, but with good climbing opportunities. While not a lot, it is far more than the others and similar in size to the main enclosures of Best...

Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of the actual enclosure. Only close ups of the animals, so you can kind of see what's in the enclosure, but that's it. I don't remember it being all too big on the outside though, but I went in 2016, and don't really memember much (if it weren't for the pictures).

Score update. Burgers are currently ahead of the pack with over 3/4 of the vote, with Rotterdam having the rest. This lead could be due to having a larger exhibit than the others and having suitable separation areas.

Poll closed. Congratulations to Burgers for having the beat Leopard enclosure in the Benelux. Their 2 large enclosures and plenty of furnishings for the cats gave them a good win. This is their fourth win, currently the most out of any zoo in this. A brief mention to Rotterdam which got a small amount of votes with their dense enclosure.

Burgers: 75.0%
Rotterdam: 16.7%
Beekse Bergen: 8.3%
