This is just a bit of fun to judge the general consensus on the best enclosure for Lynxes in the Benelux. I have added a few photos from the gallery to make it easier for members to compare the different exhibits. If anyone wants to make an argument for a particular enclosure, please feel free to do so. Also, I would encourage people to list the enclosures in order of what they think is the best.

The Mandrill and Red river hog threads are closing tomorrow, and they are both in a draw at the moment, so if you want to vote or give an opinion on the exhibits do it soon before they close.

If you want to vote for Kasteelpark Born, Parc a Gibier, Wildpark Roche-en-Andenne, then vote for the Other option in the poll.

I will be going on holiday next week (and visiting Artis and Burgers :D) so I will not be making polls next week, but will continue as usual after.

I went to Bouillon last Saturday, so I have added a few photos of the lynx facility at Bouillon. It is sadly not their worst exhibit (you can see the baboon exhibit topic for that one) or their worst predator exhibit, and it is not totally inadequate, but also not a great exhibit.

For me personally in terms of lynx exhibit the larger exhibit at Grottes de Han, the one with the natural rock face, is a clear winner (Han also has a secondary, smaller set of more basic, but still rather decent lynx exhibits, which include the possibility to climb actual living trees), fairly closely followed by the exhibit at GaiaZoo.

With regards to Monde Sauvage: while lynx is still listed at ZTL for this facility, I don't think they have lynx anymore. I did not see any lynx there during my visit earlier this year, and lynx are not mentioned on their recent map. There is a photo of the (now former) lynx exhibit at the link below (under "lynx boréaux"). The predator cages are still there, but now house a smaller collection, and I think the former lynx exhibit is now part of the Amur leopard exhibit.

Poll closed. Congratulations to Grotte de Han for having the best Lynx enclosure in the Benelux. The large enclosure and natural tock face gave them a secure win. A mention to Gaia who did well once again with a very nice enclosure.

Grotte de Han: 64.3%
Gaia: 35.7%
