Yes, I do love that tree. I've seen the cubs (not so much cubs anymore!) climbing the tree, and they enjoy lying on the branch. The third enclosure has to be the most forested exhibit of the whole trail, and my personal favuorite.

The second enclosure (with the jeep) is a little bit too open and boring; although it does give you a nice up close view of the tigers.

The first enclosure is also great, combined with the giant pool (which you can see Kembali cooling off in my profile pic!) and the rocky ledges at the back of the enclosure.

Ah, that's lovely that that's Kembali in your profile pic. I think the tiger in my photo is Kembali as well (although not 100% sure). I like that all three enclosures offer something a little bit different.

When sorting through some zoo photos on the family hard-drive, I found a couple of videos I took of Kembali, Kartika and Sakti with their mother Jumilah, as cubs. The quality of the footage isn't great (it was taken by an 11 year old, after all :p), but I'll try to upload and share here.

It’d be nice to see your photos of Jumilah and the triplets if you get chance to upload them. It’s always exciting seeing historical photos from a decade ago or more.

The tiger in your photo is Clarence. Clarence has a distinct stripe down his cheek and his ruff is less impressive than Kembali’s.

That was the plan with the initial designing; to have them different. Eg. The first is the waterhole enclosure, second is the village enclosure and the final one is the forest enclosure.

Yes, the tiger is Clarence. He normally spends time in that Forest enclosure. They have two tiger houses (one houses Clarence, Kartika and the cubs), and the other houses Kembali who's always in the first enclosure.

Ah, thanks for letting me know. It's always good to grow my knowledge of how to identify various animals.

It’s interesting to see the variation in Australasia’s Sumatran tigers. A few of note include:

0.1 Selatan (1990-2012) had the largest ruff on any female of her species I’ve ever seen from as young as 18 months old.

0.1 Binjai (2002-2021) had very thin stripes, a trait inherited by several of her offspring.

0.1 Singha (2004) has a horseshoe shaped stripe on her front leg.

0.1 Sali (2008) has extensive spots in between her stripes, a trait associated with the Balinese tiger.

1.0 Jalur (2008) has very prominent stripes, hence his name.
