Best Zoo in Each Region of England

Those regions have actual definitions though, as given above. It's not a compass direction to help you find the place, it's a region of England with defined boundaries. Look at the regions drawn on the map and Burford lies in the one that is in the south-east - that's all it's saying.

Moving the boundaries around seems to take the fun out of the question for me - like many such discussions, the restrictions are part of the interest.

Mind you, living in the East Midlands takes some of the fun out as well. :D
I agree for the most part, but to describe the Cotswolds as being in the South East is just a little too silly regardless of official definition. Not only is it decidedly west, but both the culture and geography is more aligned with the West Country - the AONB extends into Somerset for one.

If we're including safari parks, I do think Longleat is the best collection in the SE (including CWP too). If not, I think CWP takes it comfortably.

Sorry Marwell :(

Exactly.
I think this thread (and everyone involved in it) would benefit from the effort being put into redesigning fixed and predefined regions being redirected into putting forward arguments for discussion of the best zoo in each of the regions/groups, however you want to look at it, though I appreciate the regions are not perfect splits of the country and its zoos.

That is impossible if there is no agreement on the regions boundaries, and the original post did not define what they were.

She is using the statistical regions, as she said in her post, and @NMM provided the boundaries of each region a bit further down the thread. It seems pretty clear to me.

Only if you accept that single definition and clarification of someone else's thread.
Pipaluk, cerperal and polarbear (for example) disagree or have suggested alternatives, so not everyone is fortunate enough to be as clear as you...

I'll clarify again then that I did mean those regions. All good to have some discussion but it's taking away a bit from the original point of the thread.

Also I'm a she for future reference ;)

It's an official definition, and @Maguari even said that to you specifically, yet you continued with "impossible if there is no agreement on the regions boundaries" so you're just being deliberately difficult for no benefit to anyone.
