For several weeks 5 Small-clawed otters were born at Best Zoo.
In the night from 14 on 15 January 11 European bee-eaters were stolen from their aviary at Best Zoo .

September last year Sri Lanka leopards were born at Best Zoo and because the mother had previously proven to be a bad mother, the young have been taken away and are being hand-raised.
Dutch-first breeding at BestZoo : a Hagen's wallaby ( Durcopsis hageni ) was born :
