You're probably right. I knew it was either the Sichuan or the Golden that was severely inbred, I just wasn't 100% sure which. Evidently, I guessed wrong.

I do not know anything about the Sichuan Takin founder base in the USA. I know that in Europe there were imports from russia (which in turn imported from china) and san diego in recent years. The population should be way more genetically diverse than the Shensi takin. You can always use data like ZTL to try and search things like this yourself, but note that most animals have a pretty messy founder base and you can't really know it fully unless you have access to a stud book or something similar.

But ultimately, the Sichuan Takin doesn't have much to do with this thread, so it doesn't really matter anyway.
