Biggest / best bird collections

Are you sure? I have been there and I would even doubt it is the 3rd biggest in Europe. How many species do they have at the moment.

In May 2000. It was initially a Bird Park that was home to 1100 birds from 300 different species — the 3rd largest bird collection in the world.

I would question if they have this amount of species still. I was there 3 weeks ago and I saw a lot of nice birds, but I did not have the feeling that I was seeing a lot of birds. So I would question if these numbers are still valid. These nr's anyway would put it behind Walsrode, Pilsen and both Berlin Zoos. In amount of species it would on the same level as Loro Parque (but in amounts the LPF would beat Attica). On a global level Jurong and San Diego would be these easily and it would put it on par with Bronx.

So the statement has never been correct and that if we agree these numbers are correct, which for 2012 I would question.

But I still think Attica is very nice park and I enjoyed going there a lot.
