Another Grant's zebra foal was born at the Bioparc!
Were Shaira, Lluna, and Kenya (The giraffes that were sent over to Cabarceno from Valencia) non-subspecific individuals then? The hybrid animals (like Kebo) were moved to other zoos. But i doubt what's happen with Triana.
Shaira, Lluna und Kenia are pure Rothschild (Julius X Zora)Waren Shaira, Lluna und Kenia (die Giraffen, die von Valencia nach Cabarceno geschickt wurden) damals unspezifische Individuen?
Is there any way that bioparc could acquire any more pure members of this species for breeding. It’s a very unique species I don’t wish to see disappear from Europe. The last klipspringer in Europe was born in Frankfurt Zoo in 1996 and turned 25 today BIOPARC celebra el 25 aniversario del único saltarrocas de Europa
I think this specie will disappear soon from European parks...Is there any way that bioparc could acquire any more pure members of this species for breeding. It’s a very unique species I don’t wish to see disappear from Europe.
It would probably be fairly easy to import a group into Europe from Africa.I think this specie will disappear soon from European parks...
Or the US, at that. It’s also likely a specimen or two could pop up on International Zoo-Services, which I believe works with the WAZA and has done some good work in Spain. They could also get a pure African Leopard too if they were to look over on Zoo-Services as there is currently one available iirc, so a kilpspringer doesn’t sound too far out of the question. It would probably be fairly easy to import a group into Europe from Africa.
