Apparently the arrears of 2018 have been given to the Bioparco but there are no news about this year's payment.
Two young male rhinos finally arrived last week.
Right, and they are starting to explore their new enclosure (a Van Vliet's project...).
Visited yesterday and I have very mixed feelings about the place. Some exhibits were good or excellent for example the reptile house, lion and tiger exhibits, bear exhibit, small monkey house and the ape exhibits. However I found the exhibits for hippos, Japanese macaques and camelids rather run down or outdated. Also the flamingoes were housed in a small pen at the corner of the lake with limited visitor viewing and water access for the flamingoes.

I visited the park in July, and saw a lot of construction, including an aviary in the lake where there are flamingos, a restored rock in front of the lemurs, but all around the restored rock, I saw only weeds, behind the reptile house I saw a building undergoing restoration.
