Some things from my recent visit:
1. The bee-eaters are still in quarantine. Currently, there is no plan to introduce them into the exhibit yet.
2. The Mauritius Pink Pigeons were not in their aviary. Probably phased out or offshow. Ditto with the Plumed Whistling Duck in Australian Outback.
3.There are now Rose-crowned Fruit Doves in the Sulawesi Mynah aviary.

There are Pink Pigeons off show. The 0.1 that was on display died.

The lone Plumed Whistling Duck has died as well.

The doves are Red-bellied Fruit Doves (Ptilinopus greyi).
 
Does anyone have any idea whether the burrowing owls have been introduced to the Amazonian Jewels aviary? The signage has been there for few weeks but never spotted them until now.
 
It's been more than half a year since Bird Paradise opened. Thank you Zooish for your tremendous effort in creating these latest lists! Your 2023 lists have been a great tool for me to identify the birds.

I'm wondering whether the following birds were not in their respective aviaries anymore. I still saw them in the last 2 months:
  • Masked Lapwing (Australian Outback - saw them in mid January)
  • Military Macaw (Crimson Wetlands - saw them in late December, one of them had a deformed lower beak). I might have confused them with the Great Green Macaw but the eye color matches the Military Macaw (yellow iris).

The following birds have their signages in the aviary but I'm not too sure whether they are still around (or have ever been introduced in the first place) in the aviary or not:

Wattled Crane
Purple-crested Turaco
Hartlaub's Turaco
European Roller

Wings of Asia
Grey Peacock-pheasant

Oh yes, there are/were Masked Lapwings in Australian Outback but I've not noticed them on recent visits. There could be a Military Macaw in Crimson Wetlands but its pretty hard to tell it apart from the Great Green Macaws.

Wattled Crane and Purple-crested Turaco are off show. I don't think there are any Hartlaub's Turaco in Heart of Africa; there's one in Fragile Forest in the Zoo though. The European Roller died.

I'm not sure about the Grey Peacock Pheasant at Wings of Asia, have not seen any myself.

There are no Ruddy Ducks in Mandai's collection.

There are 1.1 military macaw in Crimson wetlands, and 1.0 grey peacock pheasant at Wings of Asia. Masked lapwing theres only 1.0 as well in Australian Outback I believe
 
updates from today's trip:

1. there's a female Bare-faced Currasow in the Songs of The Forest holding cage

2. i saw a male Rosy-billed Pochard in Wings of Asia today. i dont see it on Zooish's list so im guessing its a new addition

3. the Green Peahen in the Heart of Africa holding cage is missing

4. i saw 2 Muscovy Ducklings at Crimson Wetlands. when did they hatch?

it was a Common Shelduck and not a Rosy-billed Pochard that i saw

2 qns about the cassowaries:

1. on my last visit, a keeper told me that the park houses 1.3 Southern Cassowaries. did the male come from the defunct Animal Resort in Seletar West Farmway?

2. have the Northern Cassowaries ever been let out of their boh cages?

yes, when I was there two weeks ago, I saw the cage of Northern Cassowaries open, also I talked with Zoo keeper, she said yes, the door open they could go outside if they want.

Normally I spotted them under the “sheltered hut” in the middle of the aviary, not far from their cages. I've never seen them venture to other sides of their enclosures.
