Birds no longer in american zoos

I have read the forum about the mammals(as well as the few birds) that are no longer in us zoos and is wondering if anyone else could tell me any other species of birds that are no longer in us zoos. Also can anybody tell me anything about what species they used to have in the bronx zoos world of birds and aquatic bird houses?

Thanks

Not being much of a bird-person myself, my brain isn't coming up with even a starting point for your query. However, one of the stars of the Bronx's bird collection was the hoatzin - very cool birds, all now gone.

And a species on the brink of disappearing is the Renauld's ground cuckoo, with two individuals remaining.

Indian red headed vulture. As far as I know, only one left in the US. And it is in the Dreher park zoo. I hope I can see it before it is gone.

what about softbill species? tanagers, doves&pigeons, kingfishers, icterids, cotingas, woodpeckers, drongos, honeyeaters ect

or aquatic species like herons and egrets. i could have sworn i remember hearing somewhere that the bronx had at one time in their jungle world exhibit reef herons.

are the pygmy kingfishers at houston and denver an isis glitch?
