Birds outdoors

So I’ve seen a lot of zoos with outdoor bird enclosures some even out of cages and roaming around freely but my question is how do these birds not get bird flu? There’s a large bird sanctuary near where I live and they have parrots flying around freely and I’d love to know how they keep the birds safe from bird flu. I own chickens and ducks and in the past I’ve had to cull them because they get bird flu. How to zoos/sanctuaries avoid this?

When there is a case of bird flu, in America at least, they will take no risk and put all open caged birds and walkthrough aviary birds inside holding

Can confirm that essentially every zoological facility near me, as well as poultry producers, pull all their outdoor birds into temporary indoor holding areas as soon as bird flu is spotted in the Southeast. It's pretty easy to track bird flu these days because of how digital everyone is, APHIS has an infection monitor that is updated daily with new cases or suspected cases in the wild avian population, alot of institutions use this tool and others to know when to pull their collections indoors.

Bring them in when possible, I have also seen some zoos cover over some smaller outdoor aviaries with plastic sheeting.
