It's in the post before Moorhunhe's. I remember being rather rudely told by one of you admins to scroll up two or three posts when I made such a query. Can you remember to state species please, not everyone is familiar with the names of the animals. Thank you![]()
We went a couple of days ago (18/10), and managed to see both Ocelots, only ever saw 1 the other times we visited (this was my 3rd visit since August).
Also saw the otters for the first time, never managed to spot them on previous visits.
It looks like they are expanding the Red Panda enclosure a little, with also putting in extra viewing windows.
At least that's what it looked like to us, that they were doing.
Also noticed a trim on the big tree inside the enclosure.
Both Red Panda's are keeping out of each others way still, with the male being on one side, in his favorite bush mostly, and the female seems to love to lie down on top of the hut all the way on the other side.
We were lucky as we noticed a keeper with bamboo heading their way, so got some nice pictures.
Keeper was great! Answering questions too. I then heard him talk on the other side to people, so I went round to listen, hehe, he then said where all the previous cubs have went to, and one of them went to Lille Zoo in 2018, which is great, as I visited in 2018 and 2019.
The Bush Dogs, one looks very pregnant?
I took a picture of what they were doing at the Red Panda enclosure, am I allowed to post it?
Oh that's good to hear they are spending some time near each other!
The keeper did say that mainly they are on both ends of the enclosure.
I'm not sure about the White Naped Crane, I have to admit, I'm not that much into birds, and sometimes tend to just walk past. (but I don't think I have come accross them in our 3 visits, so they might have left?)
The Bush Dogs are, when you enter the park, on the left are the Ocelot, on the right is the Lynx, and then the Bush Dogs are behind/next to the Lynx enclosure.
Oh yeah, the glare on the glass with the Ocelots is indeed quite bad.
My boyfriend is taller then me, he tends to stand behind me, or right next to me, to black it out, to get a more decent picture, haha.
Also, for the first time saw the Alaotran Gentle Lemur.
This enclosure always gives me a bit of a Jurassic Park vibes, haha, but had never managed to see anything in there before.
Oh, and, noticed this time there are 4 Cloud Rats, all 4 very playfull!
What !!!!! Where were the Cloud RatsGutted I've missed them, love a rodent.
Yeah I know where the bush dogs are, just they weren't out when I walked past and I was more disappointed not to see the cranes. Every collection should have a decent variety of birds in my opinion. By far the most unappreciated animals in zoos it feels![]()
According to the keeper that does the live chats they don’t think she is, just a bit chunky lolWe went a couple of days ago (18/10), and managed to see both Ocelots, only ever saw 1 the other times we visited (this was my 3rd visit since August).
