That's weird at one time we had 2.3 on exhibit together. Jalil Edward Zuri Keyara and Willow. All were going to (at least publicly stated to be) a breeding herd. Right after Trails of Africa was built Edward was euthanized because he broke his leg. But Jalil and Willow had a male calf in 2014.
And they've publicly stated the Giraffe exhibit is big enough for a breeding herd.
I know they've made a bug deal about introducing the Giraffe and Ostrich to the Zebras. And also introducing all of those to the elephants/rhinos and hippo. I wonder if it is a herd dynamic situation.
