Edinburgh Zoo Births in 2009

Squirrel monkey prgnancies are pretty obvious seeing as they are like little green buddhas, but some preganancies are not so obvious....

I think a bit of guess work/mystery keeps people interested

Was there today and its doing well, quite big and could see it sitting on parents feet. Parents were in pen to keep other king penguins away and let them get some privacy according to the sign nearby. Didn't get any photos though.

Sorry guys, seems i have fallen victim to 'chinese whispers'. Guess that's what i get for being nosey!

While at the zoo a while back, i overheard people talknig about a very heavily pregnant lion (possibly sealion) and so i just presumed it was at edinburgh.

Was at the zoo yesterday and there was no sign of any young from either species but on browsing the other fourms i see an asiatic lion cub was born at chessington, so i seem to be mistaken!
 
oh kiang thanks for letting us now was at the zoo 2 weekends ago and only saw one suppose its only a kind of new pairing with tthe adults so keep my fingers crossed for next time funny how you can have luck with some animals and bad luck with another
