Perhaps they are asking for the details of a single unnamed jaguar, and those of its parents and siblings.

It does seem to be something that is rife in zoo's (or just zoochat's) and affects many of the animals - rhino's, elephant's, chimp's, even bird's

I am prepared to overlook them and forgive other minor misuses of the English language - but I feel I have to take a stand somewhere, and I cannot tolerate further persecution and cruelty to poor, harmless apostrophes.

None of which helps Jordan with their request for information about Black Jaguars. I wish I could help in that respect, but I know I have seen one at Edinburgh, one at Chester and one at Paradise Wildlife Park (I don't know the relevant details requested for these animals though, perhaps other people more familiar with those collections could chip in?).

No, it would be apostrophes, as 'Parent's' and 'Sibling's' should be simply 'Parents' and 'Siblings'

English is only a second language for me; yet I know how to use apostrophes and have for years. However, I almost started to use them the wrong way years ago when I saw how many native speakers were. I feared that I had learned the wrong way in children's school and didn't want to continue forever.

Another grammar thing that confused me once was how to write plural when the word already had an 'S' at the end. An Englishman told me that, for instance, "Zoos's animals" was acceptable but more proper would be, not to use the second 'S', but only the "'" so it would be "Zoos' animals".
