I follow this site for quite some time, because i love animals.
My favourites are the Okapi's and Elephants.

My home Zoo is Rotterdam Zoo.

Hi black-star. Welcome to the forum.

When I was around 6 or 7 my infant teacher showed the class a Noah's Ark type poster. She knew all the animals expect for those beginning with 'o'. They were okapis and I told her so. She had never heard of them and was so impressed with my knowledge she arranged for the headmaster to give me a special prize.

I've liked Okapis ever since.

Do you have a favourite elephant at your zoo? Mine is Sundara at Chester, as I've seen her since she was about a week old.

I visited your zoo in 2003 while attending the International Zookeepers conference at Avifauna. (I'm a zookeeper in Fort Wayne, Indiana in the US). It was a very rainy day, but I thoroughly enjoyed the okapis--gorgeous animals. All in all a pleasant visit!
