Anybody know which species ?
Someone (a zoochatter I suspect) asked this question on the facebook page, and the reply was "black and white ones".
If you have a look at the zootierlisy link provide below you will see there are a few moreMaybe that's why I don't use Facebook..![]()
If they are Damara its an interesting choice as it will be only the 3rd group in UK (others being Colchester and Tenby).
I know for sure that Black Isle`s listing is correct,I`m not so sure about Drayton Manor or Knowsley.
They used to be over by the Reindeer and Ostrich.I'm pretty sure there were no Zebras at all at Drayton Manor when I visited a few weeks back.

Racking my brains, but can't remember them -I now see the point of making notes.
Can anyone out there say for sure and confirm the state of my memory?
Thanks for that you have confirmed what I thought that it was a couple of Glitches on Zootierlist,I do remember seeing Zebra at Drayton Manor but that would be back in the early 1980`s.I'm with you here - I don't ever remember seeing zebras at Drayton Manor.
I think the Knowsley listing is a mistake and should be under former holders - the notes refer to the Earl of Derby's 19th century menagerie (not really sure why the two collections are combined on zootierliste - there was 120 years between the sale of the menagerie and the opening of the safari park!)

Black Isle are from Blackpools stock at the last count they had the breeding pair and 3 young which were 2.1 so in total they had 3.2.I didn't know about theirs- they don't seem to have a completed website. Are they genuine Damaras? Did they come from the Blackpool group when they moved?
Knowsley say they don't have Zebras anymore. Maybe the Damaras were in the old Lord Derby's collection.

Must have had another youngster since i last visited, come to think about the owner did say that she was due in the next few weeks when i last visited. So 6 would be the correct number with another birth any idea on the sex Paradoxurus?I counted six there last year. I think there's a photo in the gallery I took.
They were split into two groups of three.
