Hi all,

I have got a membership at blackpool zoo but i would like to know some more things. I love the california sea lions at the zoo. I know of Gina , Anya and Max but there is five more california sea lions which i would like to know the names of. Does anybody know the names of the other five? The California Sea Lion exhibit is currently the biggest in the UK. When I go to the zoo me and my brother spend a lot of time looking for the five north american porcupines. Sometimes we find some but not all and not all the time. What are the names of the five porcupines? A fair long time ago I went to the zoo and had a look at the red river hogs. They are very ugly indeed but funny. One time I went and looked at the red river hogs and one was digging its way out of the exhibit. Is this normal for them? The asian elephant paddock is a bit to small for 3 elephants. Does anybody know when and if they are going to extend it? Also does anybody know if they are going to plan on breeding the elephants ?

Blackpool maintains of a herd of only females and non-breeders at that (all are too old too according to the Elephant Encyclopaedia website).
 
I thought the elephants looked a bit old. They seem happy though and have a nice indoor area.
