The close knit group of chimpanzee at the park have been been part of a research programme, for the first time scientists have captured on video a group of captive chimps caring for a dying elderly female called Pansy.

Re Blair:
I was not suggesting that either. Rather I would advocate transferring the non-breeding adult cow and swaping her for an unrelated female (typical sibing cow-cow behaviour resulting in one being surpressed in/from breeding).
Re Longleat
Their trio could really do with 1.1, I agree. But as far as I can remember (correct me if I am wrong ... however) the male was already there (coming from another UK safaripark). The 2 females were more recent imports.

They had a resident 1:0 as well as the imported trio, but he died last year

A study into chimps showing human feelings such as grief has been published, it refers to one such case when Blair Drummonds 50+ elderly female chimp 'Pansy' sadly died.

During Scotland’s coldest winter in 30 years there was plenty going on here at the park to keep staff warm! There were lots of building projects going on; a new climbing platform for our pride of African lions, new fencing within the giraffe and zebra paddock, and a sand floored shelter in the Drive-Through Reserves for the rhino to relax in during the summer. Up at the bear enclosure in Pets’ Farm there has been some goings on in preparation for the arrival of 2 bears later in the year; and we have built some more new pens at the rear of the sea lion building for our sea lions too.
There have been plenty of comings and goings on the animal front too! Last year our ostrich successfully had 2 clutches, from these clutches 3 ostrich have been moved down to Folly Farm in Wales and a further 4 ostrich have been moved to West Midlands Safari Park.
Mazumba our Southern white rhino, who was born at the park in 2007, is due to move home within the next few months. She is off to the Netherlands as part of a European wide breeding programme, so fingers crossed she will be a mum within the next few years and do us all proud! Another rhino that you may have heard of is Mazumba’s sister Ailsa; she was born at the park in December past, and is happily charging about her new home keeping her mum Dot on her toes. We have also had a new little baby ring-tailed lemur, called Leila, to mum Princess and dad Arnie, and a further 2 baby meerkats which now brings our meerkat family up to a whopping 9!

New arrival soon a female giraffe from Dudley Zoo it's Soffie a Hybred she should be there within the next few weeks
This should mean that they have 0:3 Hybrids now?

The Boys are Back in Town!
Recently, we at Blair Drummond Safari Park have been lucky enough to have some exciting new residents come to join us!
A male lion, named Dudley, has joined us from Longleat Safari Park and is settling in with our pride of females in the drive-through reserves. The 4 year-old’s father, Kabir, has long been the star of Longleat’s lions and we think that Dudley’s going to prove to be a star with us!
Our group of female sea lions are going to get some company as a male California sea lion, who goes by the name of Bimbo, is on loan to us for the sea lions’ breeding season which is from May to July. He is 27 years old and weighs about 150kg, which is almost double the weight of our largest female sea lion Bella. Bimbo is going to spend his time with all the females with the hope of getting Bella, 14, and Bali, 13 pregnant before he goes back home after the summer. Bimbo’s presence here will also give our pups, Poppy and Lola, experience with a male as they would in the wild.
A couple of weeks ago, a European brown bear, named Bull, came to join us at the park. The new arrival came to us from Sweden and is currently settling into his new home in the Pets Farm area of the park. The 4-year old arrived on the 6th of May from ORSA Bear Park, where his mother, father and twin brother, Bill, currently live. On warm days Bull enjoys cooling off in his pool and he’s been sure to mark his new territory, scratching and rubbing on the trees in his new home. We think he’ll be very happy here.

Excellent to see Blair Drummond sticking with Brown Bears - was worried they were a thing of the past when then last group died out.

Is Dudley now the single male lion in the pride, or is he in addition to the other males?
I think he has come from Welsh Mountain but that's a guess
