Blank Park Zoo Blank Park Zoo News

Where in the Zoo is the snow leopard located? I thought Blank Park phased them out in favor expanded their lion space recently.

I was looking at old plans before my visit recently, and I also saw that they planned on moving the lions to a new exhibit in the Africa section, and then they would renovate that entire area into a tiger exhibit. Maybe construction isn't planned to start for a while?

There isn't much info out yet but they will be building a "Wild Iowa" exhibit which seems to include otters, bald eagles, and bobcats. They will then renovate the big cats area with new exhibits for the lions and tigers.

The vulture is a Cinereous Vulture, paired with the lone one in the mixed exhibit with gibbons.

Many of those birds were visible when I visited, and you can see the foot of the wallaby joey in one of the photos I uploaded to the gallery! :p
