I plan to visit it this summer on the latest "Snowleopard Road Trip" and I'll no doubt extensively review the park on this site.

This Saturday the zoo debuts 3 new areas: seal/sea lion exhibit, entrance, and temporary Ice Age Mammals exhibit. I hope to visit the zoo this summer on my 40 zoos/aquariums in 48 days road trip but the Ice Age critters will be gone by then.

On my recent road trip thread there are exactly 50 reviews (32 zoos and 18 aquariums) and Blank Park Zoo is one of the very first on the thread. Also, today I uploaded 47 new photos of the zoo, including the renovated seal/sea lion habitat that just opened in 2012.

3 Japanese Macaque infants are being hand-reared together. Two were born at Blank Park, and the other one in New York. Perhaps Central Park?

The zoo brought in eye surgeons to attempt to restore sight to one of the sea lions. She was blind when she arrived. It will take time to know if they succeeded but until then she will be off display.
