-New in the Rotterdam Zoo: the North-African spiny tailed lizard, Uromastyx acanthinura. They take the spot of the Sudan plated lizard.
-The Rotterdam Zoo is temporarily taking care of Artis' leopard sharks and bullhead sharks, among others, as their aquarium is undergoing construction. The sharks have been put together with the ones that were already present in the Oceanium, in hopes of producing offspring. A permanent addition to the pond in the hyrax enclosure is a Senegal bichir.
-The zoo is temporarily taking care of some short-snouted sea horses that beached during a storm.
-The Brazilian tanager is back on display in the Victoria Serre for the first time since early 2020.
-Temporarily no crested guineafowl in the okapi enclosure, after both of the animals died shortly after each other
-A female military macaw, one of the bird show participants, has left the zoo
-Death of a 61-year-old (!) greater flamingo, as well as the female hamerkop and the male wanderoo.
-Four female makis have left the park as they weren't being tolerated by the dominant animals
