Through a multi-agency collaboratio, the aviary has welcomed the first hatching of a blue billed currasow under controlled conditions.
First Blue-billed curassow born under controlled conditions!

I posted a picture of the baby in the gallery, I know the staff of the aviary and talked to them today... They are obviously very happy and with luck there might be more to come this year.

Sorry for not saying this before, but I was traveling (visited the zoo where they have this chick) and found out there is not just one chick... but 4 of them. Apperently they are 2 males and 2 females, and all of the ckicks are doing very well.

I´ll be posting pictures of them soon!
