From personal observation I can confirm Upendi is male. Sire could be Keke, but Cheka also spent time in Lina's group with Louisoko and Lucuma before her pregnancy was confirmed.

What happened to Billy the Bonobo who was born at Twycross Zoo? He was moved to a European Zoo where he was abused/picked on. There were campaigns to get him moved. I haven’t heard anything of Billy for a while,I just want to know if he’s okay.

Look through the Wuppertal threads. I don't think anything bad was reported since his rough introduction to the group.
Bili's OK, but wherever he would have been sent it would have been difficult for a male in his situation to have been smoothly introduced into any group. A bigger shock for me was what happened to Birogu:

I can't access that page. A previous post here (from yourself) said he was euthanised due to internal injuries. Is there more to the story?
The initial reports from Wuppertal were that Birogu was euthanised due to internal injuries, this report states: "These injuries were therefore the result of bites by his own kind, which he had previously received". Birogu was born at Wuppertal and is the father of 4 offspring with former dominant female Eja. However, Eja lead the attacks on Bili, and it appears that when Bili was eventually removed from harm Birogu became the target. Zoo's highlight one of the differences between Chimpanzees and Bonobos being that Bonobos are more 'peaceful' and do not 'kill their own'; this is the first time I have seen a report where this image has been contradicted - had he not been euthanised he would have died of his wounds.
Perhaps I should just have said "the other Bonobos killed him" and left it at that.

Is there any information on the names of the offspring born at Vallee des Singes during 2022 - 1.0, 3 April to Ukela; 0.1, 25 May to Lucy & 0.1, 24 June to Khaya - not counting the one born to Yahimba just before Christmas!
One of the females has been named Bembé, though I don't know which one. I haven't seen any announcements with names about the other one yet.

With all info found in this topic and other sources on the internet, I made a pedigree tree off all the bonobos who are now living in Europe. The file can show all the offspring of an individual or show all the ancestors of an individual. I made it with de genealogy program for humans. If anyone is interested, I can send a gedcom file, which you can import in any genealogy program you like. Just send me a PM.
