On September 23rd, the museum announced they moved their (1.0) red-flanked lorikeet Rico off display due to their (1.0) Goldie's lorikeet named Blaze passing away earlier in the year. Rico's former exhibit will now be a rotating exhibit for the ambassador animals.

On January 27th, it was reported that the museum will undergo $10.5 million in renovations to the facility, including a remodel of the lobby in the summer to an Ice Age diorama, as well as new entrances/exits, replacing their water table, adding a new climbing structure, and other general renovations. The museum expects said renovations to be completed by 2026/2027.
