Borneo Rainbow Toad rediscovered

What a stunning species and a great story. Thanks for posting.

That looks like a photoshopped frog - simply spectacular!

I'm a little confused by some of the names they listed for other thought-extinct species - Mesopotamia Beaked Toad (from Colombia) and the Hula Painted Frog (from Israel)?

:p

Would be a nice addition to zoo exhibits!

I wonder if it is very rare at all, or simply people didn't know where to look, like with some rainforest bats and rodents.

the Hula painted frog (aka Israel or Palestinian painted frog) came from Lake Hula; and the Mesopotamia beaked toad is known from just two specimens collected in 1914 from a stream near a village called Mesopotamia in western Colombia (Mesopotamia Beaked Toad - Conservation International)
