Here is what a friend of mine said about this article, and I agree with the points he was making.

"Aquarium trade, bushmeat, wildlife trafficking, logging and other destruction of habitat... The demands will surely increase unless conservationists can get humanity to vastly reduce consumption of tropical forest "products," and quickly reduce human population growth. Yet, most conservationists are still stuck in the "sustainability" paradigm, where our tools are basically limited to hoped-for environmental regulations and efforts to protect habitat fragments that, in the end, are insufficient to protect and restore Nature."
