idk if bringing up seaturtle rescue and releases is necessary, with the exception of a milestone, considering that Brevard does sea turtle rescues frequently and the turtles in the end don't become a part of the collection.

Very much true, but tbf even without the turtle rescues there is a lot of news from the zoo lol

Unfortunately, due to rising cases in the local area. The zoo has announced that they will be closing down their bird aviaries for an indeterminate period of time, as an extra precaution to protecting the animals from bird flu. In addition to the closing of the walk-through aviaries to the general public, the zoo also stated that the most at-risk birds such as macaws, whistling ducks, chickens, turkeys, and the like, will all be relocated into their indoor quarters; and they will modify the habitats for other bird species to ensure the prevention of them from getting into any contact with a wild bird. It is also worth noting that there are currently no reported cases of bird flu within zoo grounds for the time being as well.
