On January 20th, the zoo announced they acquired (0.2) bloodhounds named Cindy and Unnamed (will be named soon) from the Brevard County Sheriff's Office in Florida which will be on exhibit in the Farmyard area in the near future.

On February 21st, the zoo announced the name of the other (0.1) bloodhound, Sarah Jessica Barker.

On February 15th, the zoo announced that due to decreased cases of avian influenza in the area, their bald eagles and crested caracara are now back on exhibit.

On March 10th, it was announced that the zoo transferred (0.0.5) rainbow lorikeets and (0.0.2) red-crested turacos to the Palm Beach Zoo in Florida.

On March 13th, the zoo announced they moved their Bolivian grey titi monkeys to the former common squirrel monkey exhibit and vice versa.

The Expedition Africa section is getting a major overhaul, turning into a loop, and a new lion habitat. It will be entirely closed May 1st - 31st 2023 with completion 1st quarter 2024.

On April 27th, the zoo announced that due to construction supply delays, the overhaul will not happen till later in 2023 and Expedition Africa will be open all throughout May. They are still renovating the red-ruffed lemur exhibit at the giraffe platform, however.

On April 28th, the zoo announced that their cockatiels and lorikeets (species not specified) have welcomed some babies which are now on exhibit in the Lands of Change loop.
