Bristol or Wild Place first?

The group seemed very calm, and Touni was seen eating near Jock so here's hoping that will mean a new birth soon.

I don't think it's a secret that lots of the rarer species found in zoos that are kept at Howletts are slowly being phased out of the zoo;

Thanks for the update Shonenjake. Good to know the situation for Afia seems stable. I would certainly expect Touni to be the next female to breed at Bristol, though Salome might, or might not have another sometime from now. Because of socialisation shortcomings, both Kera and Romina seem out of the running breeding-wise.

Re Howletts phase-outs- I think 'a few' or 'some' of the rarer species being phased out might be a more accurate description than 'lots'. They do sometimes take on a species and then drop them again- but most zoos do likewise. The Heck's macaques were an example, where just a single pair were imported- a strange way to expect to start a viable breeding group so its not surprising they have not really gone anywhere with them..
