When it comes to the problem of turtle extinction the Wildlife Conservation Society is not hiding in its shell.Scientists at the Bronx Zoo and other WCS operations are launching a new initiative to breed, protect, and reintroduce some of the world's most endangered turtles and tortoises.
It has set the goal of saving at least half of those on its extinction list.
To do so, the WCS plans to work with governments across the world including Cambodia, China, Colombia, and Ecuador.
