The meerkat mob now have names: the male is Tebogo, and the females are Dinari, Keeya, Naledi, and Naomi.

New animals are on exhibit at The Living Coast, including dwarf seahorses, frogfish, and red lionfish.

Royal gramma, cherubfish, flamefish, and neon gobies have been added to the upside-down jellyfish habitat in The Living Coast.
 
Due to colder temperatures, the toco toucans and seriemas are temporarily being brought indoors behind the scenes until their permanent habitat is completed at Hamill Family Play Zoo.

Ady and Luci, two female California sea lions from the Denver Zoo, arrived last week. They will be here for about a year while their exhibit is being renovated.

Here's a video of the flamingos being brought out on a walk around the South side of the zoo. These flamingo walks will occur daily at noon (weather dependent).

I don't have a lot of details, but they were historically held at the Formal Pool. They dwindled to two or three individuals when they were sent away.

Prior to the arrival of the new flock, flamingos were last displayed at the formal pool in 1997. The reason for the departure was the lack of adequate holding space during inclement weather. They were previously housed inside the Aquatic Bird House during the winter months, but after the building became Feathers and Scales their previous accommodation was no longer available.
 
Reticulated pythons and emerald tree boas are back on exhibit in Reptiles and Birds.

The zoo's female cotton-top tamarin has passed away. Her mate will be off exhibit indefinitely so he can be socialized with other monkeys behind the scenes.

Female capybara Peru has been sent to Henry Vilas Zoo. The zoo still houses the male.

When the weather gets colder, the coatis in Wild Encounters will be moved back to Desert's Edge where they will live behind the scenes.

Any plans to bring in other Capybara?

It's also sad to hear about the tamarin, I'm assuming since their addition was for medical, it is a one and done addition.
