Any news of the Pannon Park?

Currently there is no major work happening. Some plants were planted as an experiment and the big shark tank is filled with water as a pressure test for the acrylic windows. It will need around 40-50 billion HUF to finish. As I understood they want to have 2000 square metres of fake rock and that is why it costs so much.

The whole building is 17000 square metres big and the biggest tank is 3 million litres, so it could be a great zoo attraction, but seeing the size of the outdoor enclosures, I am a little bit sceptical about it.

The zoo built a new hyacinth macaw aviary and also plans to expand the wombat enclosure, so they could house two pair of wombats: a new breeding pair and the older wombat couple.

The zoo announced that they put their female tiger, Niva to final rest on Friday, as her health was declining very rapidly due to some diseases. She was 17 years old.
