The funny thing is it was only a few years ago when the zoo had the reptile house closed for renovations. I am glad they are renovating, but I wouldn't find it a top priority. After this, they plan to do an Asian section in the center area where the big horned mountain sheep are located. I wish they would focus on an outdoor exhibit for the gorillas or a bigger exhibit for the giraffes. Elephants are a lost cause and I'm hoping they are relocated opposed to a desperate attempt to get another female in their cramped exhibit.
 
I'm hoping the AZA will grant Buffalo an exception for Jothi and Surapa. They need to live separately, and would possibly need to live individually even with different elephants. They should be allowed to remain in Buffalo.
