last monday did anybody watch the abc program 'dynasties'? it was on the bullens family, and followed their rise to fame as australia's best known circus family over 3 generations.
the last of the circus animals are still owned by the bullens at the family's property in west sydney. these 'left overs' include tigers, hamadryas baboons, lions and macaques. throughout the history of the circus the largest ever herd of asian elephants ever kept on the country were owned by the bullens, now only the 3 girls left at Australia Zoo. and their foray into safari parks saw them looking after brown bears too. plus mogo's chimps.
all in all it was a fascinating show
