Renovations are being made to the hippo exhibit after seals around the underwater viewing for the hippos started to leak. The hippos, crocs, and lemurs are off-exhibit. The cichlids and other fish are at SeaWorld Orlando. It says there are 3 hippos in Edge of Africa, but in 4 annual visits, I've only ever seen 2 hippos. Does anyone know about this? Is the third a male?

Christmas Town, the park's holiday celebration, is now taking place regularly. The most interesting part is probably that penguins (likely Humboldts) are in the otter enclosure temporarily.... because penguins definately give that "North Pole" theme.

Two young female white rhinos from Busch Gardens have been moved to Toronto Zoo. Does anyone know who these females are? How old are they? Who are their parents? Thanks for any info. Those of us in the Toronto forum are excited to learn about our new girls. Its been a long time since we have had females who could one day breed.

Two Southern Ground Hornbills hatched on February 15 and February 19. Guests can now see the the chicks at Jambo Junction. Today was their first day on exhibit.

I believe they are. A lot of education ambassador animals at Busch Gardens are hand-raised.

And apparently the park has Malayan Tigers. How do I know? Because 2.1 cubs were born on Easter!
