BX OceaLife / BXSea - New Oceanarium in Bintaro
BXSea has opened today, but looking from early visit videos on Instagram and YouTube, there are still some empty exhibits like the tunnel aquarium.
Also, Audrey King of the Jungle's early visit confirmed that Sand Tigers will be in the aquarium, apparently flown from South Africa and still awaiting their arrival along with the penguins from the same country. Still awaiting anything about the Hammerheads.
From this video, apparently the exhibit intended for coconut crabs is going to be used for false gharials. What the heck..
With Sand Tigers making their proper debut in BX Sea, it will be the second aquarium that housed Sand Tigers in Indonesia, after SWA back in the 1990s. Attempts to re-exhibit them were revealed back in 2015, but cancelled. JAQS was going to exhibit Sand Tigers, but scrapped in favor of Tawny Nurses since they pose less threat to the mermaids/divers, and lack of space.

The second one is obvious, the other two maybe are different species, but I guess this could just be a PR stunt as a way to interact with the viewers and receive more internet engagement.
You're right. I've seen two out of three of these animals back during my XMas trip. But the cowtail stingray wasn't revealed here, but instead on JB Hunt's IG page.

Some minor/additional updates from videos I saw:
- Some more serranids has been introduced to the main tank, this includes potato cod, orange-spotted grouper and (TRUE) giant groupers. Some other fishes like cobias and a lone black seabream (most likely picnic seabream) has been added as well.
- Piraputangas, more RTCs and (sadly) albino pangasius has been added to the King of Rivers tank. The last one is probably the party pooper since it looked like a proper Amazonian exhibit until the albino pangasius' introduction.
- Juvenile longnose gars has been added to the discus/barb/flagtail tank. I think Rizz Carlton already took a pic of it, but still kinda shocking that BXSea now has three different gar species (alligator, spotted and longnose), two Lepisosteus and one Atractosteus. It needs more osteoglossids.
What appeared to be BXSea's hammerhead sharks has arrived from Taiwan. Hopefully they'll start getting housed this week as I wait for the sand tiger sharks, though it has disappeared from the map in BXSea's website.

Bad news from my latest trip to BXSea: the hammerheads were released around a week ago or so into the main tank, but according to one of the zookeepers they were either quarantined or died due to them ramming into the rocks. I'm kinda worried about BXSea's status now because they did this to a critically endangered fauna...
Aside from that, almost all of the exhibits are filled and here are some noteworthy additions:
