Hi

There's a small zoo outside Bangkok called "Cafe Minizoo Garden River 8".
Has anyone visited this place before?

Cafe Minizoo Garden River 8 - คาเฟ่ มินิซู การ์เด้นริเวอร์ 8 | Thanyaburi

It looks like a typical roadside zoo in Southeast Asia, but it looks like it has an interesting collection, especially hornbills.

I might be able to fit it in my schedule in my Bangkok trip next month.
Any information is appreciated!
I do wonder if this place has any ties to the Thai animal broker that is also referred as minizoo.

Thanks for your comment!I have no idea about that, but the term "Mini Zoo" is a common word used by many zoos in Malaysia and Thailand, including government-operated zoos.

I visited here last November. This private zoo is owned by a foreigner who works and lives in Thailand. He is an animal trader, and I think he probably turned an Animal quarantine area into a zoo.

This place and the MINI ZOO have different owners. They might know each other because they are both animal traders.

The list of animals I can remember.
- Southern ground hornbill (When I went there, it wasn't available yet, but the owner said they would bring it in. After that, I saw it on Facebook.)
- Rhinoceros hornbill
- Black-casqued hornbill
- Pelican
- Indian Peafowl
- Greater rhea
- Reticulated giraffe
- Red ruffed lemur
- Black and white ruffed lemur
- Ringtail lemur
- Greater spot-nosed monkey
- Angola colobus
- Mantled guereza
- Campbell's mona monkey
- Geoffroy's spider monkey
- Squirrel monkey
- Pygmy marmoset
- Gibbon (may be White-handed gibbon)
- Color variation tiger

Thank you very much for a very detailed information!
The zoo looks compact, but the species list seems very interesting!

I'm planning to visit the place in May, so I'll post the latest information after my visit.

Thanks again!
