Cancelled Exhibits

Does anyone know of any really interesting exhibit concepts that have been scarped?
For example, I saw in Minnesota Zoo's masterplan from the 70s, there were to giant polar bear, snow leopard, and saiga exhibits, not sure what happened as the climate here would be great for the animals.

Buffalo Zoo wanted a gorilla exhibit on the site of some playgrounds (shelved, although probably planning new gorilla habitat), an Asian River exhibit (outdated now that elephants are gone), and an African Plains exhibit (shelved).

Queens Zoo wanted jaguars, but that has been shelved for a while now and may not come to fruition anytime soon.

Its current arctic exhibit was also going to be just for polar bears and kodiak bears.
Meanwhile, the lawn by the reptile house was going to be turned into a vulture exhibit.

Roger Williams Park Zoo once was planning a new Polar Bear exhibit but that was shelved probably due to the lack of available bears along with budget.

I know Beardsley at one point planned for an "Asian Plateau" exhibit in a currently non-public area of the zoo. Pretty sure those plans are long abandoned by now.

Savannah at Paignton -- not so much cancelled, as receding into the realms of distant future possibilities.....

Almost all of Brookfield Zoo's master plan from 2009 never came to fruition. In fact, besides a rough version of Great Bear Wilderness and renovations to the Dolphinarium, practically none of it did.

I'm honestly glad most of the master plan wasn't completed, it would take away the order of the zoo I've observed form the map. However, I do hope Tropic World's residents get outdoor space.
