Can't start conversation?

Hi all,

I've been trying to start a private conversation and can't find how. There is no message button on member's profiles, nor is there one to start a convo in the conversations page. Is it because I am a new member I can't send them?
Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, we restrict access to private conversations for new members as an anti-spam measure.

Once you've posted some more, you'll automatically gain access to private conversations.
