Central and South American giraffe population

Hello, everyone. I decided to create this thread based on the lack of databases for ungulates across Latin America. Not only that, but I also thought of starting this discussion because of the confusing taxonomy of most giraffes across Brazil. Besides the three Rothschild's giraffes in Itatiba, all individuals in Brazil are considered to be generic giraffes. This, however, could be wrong, as I believe most (if not all) giraffes in the country are actually purebred South African ones. I'll start with a simple database of giraffes in my country. If anyone wants to help me, feel free to make any changes (or additions) to my list. There, let's commence forth!

Note: according to the 2011 International Giraffe Studbook, all giraffes in Brazilian territory were generic ones. Itatiba and Mangaratiba giraffes are not mentioned on the studbook because they're recently-imported stock.

Indeed, you're right. As I previously said, I believe most giraffes in Brazil are purebred Cape ones, despite the International Studbook stating they're generic giraffes (including said giraffe Ayana). I'd say they're actually considered to be "generic" ones simply because no phylogenetic study has been made to prove their origin and subspecies/species.

Hello, everyone. Pandinha, Curitiba zoo's female giraffe, has unfortunately passed away. Born in May 1989 to Pacheco and Amandinha, she was the oldest giraffe in Brazil and the fourth oldest on Earth.
