Central Coast Zoo Central Coast Zoo

Cool, when is this zoo gonna open, I wanna see the baby Blackbuck and Aoudad/Barbary

Central Coast Zoo have released an update. 2022 will see them acquire Capybara, Black-capped Capuchin, Brazilian Agouti and several new species of exotic reptiles:

"We would like to apologise for all the delays in getting open for more encounters!! We are currently open for Meerkat Encounters and Exotic Reptile Encounters, but later this year we will commence VIP behind the scenes tours, Lion Den Feeding Tour and many more experiences - thank you all for being so patient. We are still building new enclosures constantly, but we are excited to announce we have some new critters lined up for 2022 including Black-capped Capuchin Monkeys, Capybara, several species of Exotic Reptile and also some of these cute critters: "Red Rumped Agoutis" a medium sized rodent native to South America."

There's definitely three in the video. It'll be interesting to see where they got them from. Melbourne received six young tortoises so it wouldn't be much of a surprise if they sent half away.
I believe there not from the Melbourne zoo also Melbournes could of been part of last DDZ importation

Central Coast Zoo's website now contains a "Meet Our Animals" section [Meet Our Animals - Central Coast Zoo] providing further information on the overall collection layout for current and future species. It is currently set out as followed:

*Terrific Trails (North America) - Canada Goose, American Alligator, Red-eared Slider, Corn Snake [note the page for this section has a Rainbow Boa pictured].

This zoo has really grown over the last couple of years from a relatively unknown zoo to a reasonable collection that continues to progress. I’m impressed with what they’ve achieved so far.

It’ll be interesting to see what species they acquire in the future. Bolivian squirrel monkeys seem a likely option; as well as Maned wolves. The latter doesn’t fit the forests theme of the South American collection; but they have Fennec fox, Dromedary camel and Barbary sheep under Savannah, so why not?

Amazing to see a zoo in the region importing macaques! Especially with all the main, government zoos phasing them out.

If they're coming from overseas, would this be the first overseas import for Central Coast Zoo?

There are Rhesus Macaques at Darling Downs, Mansfield and Banana Cabana, according to the Exotic Mammals thread, could they possibly be coming from any of those zoos/sanctuaries?

Do the Bullens still have macaques?
